Artist Anne Ten Donkelaar has crafted a unique juxtaposition of the natural and artificial with her collection titled 'Broken butterflies.' She has given 'new life,' to these already beautiful creatures. Click 'Read More,' for details and pics of this stunning collection.

For her series titled "Broken Butterflies" artist Anne ten Donkelaar repaired the damaged wings and bodies of real butterflies using gold, old maps, roots, threads and embroidery. An artist who is inspired by natural forms and structures, Donkelaar uses found objects and materials combined with intricate design details to create stunning pieces of art.
